FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks ski teams don't have an official event here in the Interior on schedule this season, but that didn't stop them from competing in the Town Series at Birch Hill.
The Nanooks skiers dominated the A-Bracket sprints, mainly behind their young freshmen.
Hannah Dueling took home first, while Anja Maijala took second in representing UAF.
Kendall Kramer took third for the West Valley Wolfpack.
For the men's sprint finals, it was senior, Jan Cech who captured first, while Seiji Takagi and Arnaud Guyon took second and third.
For the adult sprints, they all had to cover 850 meters.
The middle school sprints go for 600 meters, and Isaac Dershin and Hannah Delamere took the titles in their brackets.
