Statistics On Alaska Crime Reveal Hourly Crime-Rates

The Department of Public Safety released their 2016 'Uniform Crime Reporter Program' Annual Report, which came with some surprising statistics - including that an act of larceny is committed in Alaska every 29 minutes.

More statistics revealed that one Robbery is committed every 10-hours, One assault every 2 hours, one arson every 2-hours, one vehicle theft every 3-hours, a burglary every 2-hours, a rape every 8-hours and a murder every 7-days in the state.

These results came from 32 agencies throughout Alaska, which represent around 99.6 percent of the state population.

Monthly crime statistics are forwarded to the FBI for inclusion in its annual 'Crime in the United States' publication.
