Remains Of Five Children Recovered From Palmer, Alaska Trailer Fire

Five children are dead after an early morning fire in Southcentral Alaska.

Around 7 am today, Alaska State Troopers and the Alaska Fire Marshal's Office were notified of a structure fire in the community of Butte, near Palmer.

The fire was in a trailer.
Troopers responded to find multiple victims at the scene.

The remains of five children have been recovered from the burned-out trailer.

All five of the victims are believed to be female between the ages of 3 to 12.

Their remains will be transported to the State Medical Examiner's office for autopsy and positive identification.
