Police coordinating with District After School Shooting Threat

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A note threatening a school shooting tomorrow caused the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District to send out a notice this afternoon to Lathrop High School families.
The note found today alleged that a shooting was planned on Tuesday morning at the school.
Fairbanks Police Department representatives say they're working with the district to determine whether the threat is credible, and make sure students, teachers, and staff are safe.
They haven't yet identified the author of the note, or released any information about whether they consider it a legitimate threat. School district officials say there will be a police presence at the school on Tuesday.
