North Pole woman killed in ATV accident near Chatanika Lodge

On the afternoon of June 25, Alaska State Troopers received a report that a woman had been severely injured while riding as a passenger in a side by side, a small four wheel drive off road vehicle.
The accident occurred on a trail near Chatanika Lodge.

52-year-old Louise Lynch, of North Pole, was injured while the side-by-side was in motion and a tree branch pierced through the floor
of the vehicle.

Lynch was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.
Her body has been sent to the State Medical Examiners office in Anchorage.
