Local Man Facing Armed Robbery Charges Involving Cross-Cut Pliers

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A local man was arrested after he allegedly walked into a liquor store and threatened employees with a weapon.
28-year-old Johnny Adams is charged with Armed Robbery, assault and criminal mischief.
According to the felony complaint, on September 21st Adams allegedly attempted to steal a bottle of vodka from Thrifty Liquor. The manager of the store had asked Adams to leave when Adams allegedly pulled out a pair of cross-cut pliers and threatened him with them.
The manager then sprayed Adams with Bear Spray until he could be detained.
