FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A Fairbanks man died this week after being hit by a car while riding a snow machine on the Parks Highway.
Alaska State Troopers say that on Tuesday at around 5 PM, a caller reported a collision at around mile 325 of the highway, a few miles south of Skinny Dick's Halfway Inn.
According to troopers, 52 year old Fairbanks resident Wesley Jennings was riding an Arctic Cat snow-machine southbound on the edge of the Parks' northbound lane.
A Taiwanese visitor was northbound to Fairbanks in a Dodge Journey, and the two collided head-on.
Jennings was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
His next of kin have been notified.
