Pet of the Week: Cricket the Cat

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - If you are looking for friendly conversation, Cricket is the cat for you.
Let's go meet News 13's Pet of the Week.

Hi I'm Kimberly and this week's Pet of the Week is Cricket. Cricket is a four year old short haired cat. He is orange and white and like most orange boys he likes to talk a lot. Cricket was brought to the shelter because he did not like using the litter box when there were other pets present in the house. He is an only child, he wants his family's devotion all to himself. He does use his litter box really well at the shelter, he has had no accidents even though he is surrounded by other animals, but he has his own space which is probably the biggest difference. He will tolerate other pets but he will not use his litter box consistently if he has to live with other cats and dogs. Cricket is very interactive, very social, and a really sweet boy. He would be a great pet for someone who is just looking for one pet in their household. He is young and healthy and would be just a really fun companion, especially now that it is winter so you have all kinds of time to play with your cat. Cricket also has other dog, cat, and a lot of exotic animal friends at the shelter looking for loving homes."
