FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KXDF) - It's time to meet 18-month-old Ladybug the dog. She's a pointer– husky mix who is shy at first, but warms up to new friends very quickly.
Ladybug is very athletic and loves to play, but she's also well behaved and enjoys being a calm indoor dog.
This week's Pet of the Week is Ladybug. Ladybug is a year–and–a–half old pointer/husky mix. She came to the shelter with her siblings because her owner was no longer physically able to care for her.
She is a really shy girl; she doesn't have any experience running in a team, but she was raised like a sled dog outside.
Ladybug is a little timid, but she's really sweet; when she bonds with someone she really likes to spend time with them, and she likes to be near them.
Ladybug's learning about toys, but she still doesn't really know how to play with toys.
Ladybug's extremely athletic, she's definitely built to be an athlete, so she'd appreciate an active home.
She's really smart and making a lot of progress at the shelter, and she really enjoys being inside.
She's really good at observing her situation; she likes to sit back and take everything in, but she's also very curious and enjoys meeting people as long as she can do it at her own pace.
Ladybug does well with other dogs, and she seems to be curious about other animals, but she has never really been around them.
Ladybug is a really sweet, active girl who's looking for a home with a lot of time to train her like a puppy. She also has other dog and cat friends at the shelter looking for loving homes.
