Advanced Physical Therapy was founded in 2000 by Valerie A. Phelps, as a 300 square foot facility in Anchorage. Today we are an Alaskan employee owned corporation with 34 employees operating out of 3 facilities totaling 18,000 square feet, in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Wasilla Alaska. Our treatment philosophy relies on a thorough history and clinical examination to guide interactive patient education and research-based, hands-on soft tissue and joint mobilization. Skills training and exercises are selected according to a patient’s specific needs. All of our therapists have advanced degrees in Physical Therapy and follow the research based training of the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine-United States (www.iaom-us.com).
