West Valley earns first win of Tipoff Tournament over South Anchorage

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Lathrop Malemutes fell to the defending State Champion Dimond Lynx 70-43.
Derek Life led the Malemutes in scoring with 9 points.
Lathrop will wrap up their stay in the tournament against South Anchorage tonight.
The West Valley Wolfpack then took on the South Anchorage Wolverines for the Main Event of day two.
The Pack were able to take home a 66-52 victory.
The Wolfpack held the lead in each of the four quarters to help secure the win.
Cornelius Mingo Jr led the way for his team by dropping 17 points.
His Classmate Jesse Stickel also broke the Double-Digit Barrier by scoring 10 points.
The Wolfpack will finish their tournament play tonight against Chugiak.
