West Valley and Lathrop Wrestling teams stand tall after Dual Meets

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - There were two wrestling meets earlier this week between four interior schools.
Here in town the West Valley Wolfpack were hosting the Hutchison Hawks.
The Wolfpack were able to win this one 42-24.
The Pack were able to win four matches by fall while collecting their other three wins by forfeit.
The Wolfpack earned their falls thanks to Owen Hedman in the 132, Ian Arnold in the 145, Freddy Mathison in the 120, and Enrique Agnew 45 seconds into the 160 pound class.
Hutchison earned their two falls thanks to Kye Pearce in the 138 pound weight class and Matthew Fagan in the 182.
Out at North Pole High School the Patriots were hosting the Lathrop Malemutes in another Dual Meet.
The Malemutes were able to win this one 50-18.
The Malmutes earned 6 wins by Fall in this one thanks to Andrew Killian-Dalrymple in the 98 pound weight class, Jeremy Bockert in the 106, Caedon Ott in the 145, Wyatt Story in the 160, Zachary Tolver in the 170, and Josiah Opp in the 182.
Jordon Opp and Buddy Bockert were able to earn Major Decision Victories for the Malemutes, meaning that they won their match by 8 to 11 points.
All of our interior teams will be competing down in Palmer this weekend in the Lancer Smith tournament, the Largest Wrestling Tournament in the state.
