UAF down to three finalists for athletic director position

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The University of Alaska Fairbanks is down to its 3 finalists for the Athletic Director position.
In a statement made by the university, they will be hosting Derrick Johnson, Milton Richards and Sterling Steward during this month.
First on the list is Derrick Johnson who will be here on Friday.
Recently, Johnson served as the AD at Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina.
He has been a part of athletics for more than 2 decades through coaching, administration and public relations.
He has a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina, and a master's from the United States Sports Academy.
Johnson will be having a public forum on Friday from 5 to 6 PM at the BP Design Theater of the Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility.
Next is Milton Richards, who will be here on Monday July 16.
Richards was the senior director of athletics for Simon Fraser University from 2011 to 2015 down in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Richards has 35 years of experience serving as an instructor, a consultant, a chief financial officer and a director of athletics at multiple universities.
He received his bachelor's, master's and doctorate's from West Virginia University.
He will have his public forum from 5 to 6 at the E-LIF building.
And lastly, there is Sterling Steward.
Steward is currently the athletic director at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.
He has been in various positions for a couple of decades, in administration, compliance and consulting.
He has his bachelor's and master's from the University of Southern Mississippi.
His forum will be on the 20th, at the E-LIF building.
