UAF Women's Basketball team dominates to earn a 73-29 win

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks Women's basketball team was extremely victorious on Saturday night when they continued their stay in the Seawolves Hoops Classic.
They defeated the Holy Names Hawks 73-29.
This has an absolutely dominant display by the Nanooks through the first three quarters, outscoring the Hawks 26-4 in the first quarter, 16-3 in the second, and 18-4 in the third.
Offensively the Nooks were led by Emily Evans, who finished the day with 14 points.
Lexi Carpenter also earned Double-Digit points, finishing the day with 10.
Angela Murnion and Ashlie Blackburn both added 9.
Josie Sewell and Cassi Williams both finished the day with 4 assists to lead the game in that category.
Ashlie Blackburn was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of things, pulling down 10 rebounds and blocking three shots.
The win brings the Nooks to an even 2-2 on the year.
They will now get a bit of a break until they return home on November 30th to take on the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks.
