UAF Skiers and West Valley's Kendall Kramer shine in second race of the Town Series

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks held their second Town Race series event of the season on Saturday with the Fairbanks Youth Sports Sprint Festival.
Each heat in the series consisted of 1.1 Kilometer sprints.
Out of the four Women's quarterfinals, three of the first place finishers were from the UAF Ski team.
Sarissa Lammers, Hannah Deuling, and Anja Maijala all represented the Nanooks while West Valley Skier Kendall Kramer won her quarterfinal heat to advance.
Kramer also took first place in her semifinal matchup while UAF's Anna Darnell took second.
Anja Maijala and Hannah Deuling took first and second in their semifinal.
Deuling ended up winning it all in the final while Maijala took second and Kendall Kramer finished third.
Jan (yawn) Cech, Logan Mowry, Seiji Takagi, and Nick Lovett took first in the Men's Quarterfinal Heats.
Luke Platil then came back from a third place finish to take first in one Semifinal while Seiji Takagi once again won the other.
In the finals, Jan Cech took first place, Takagi took second, and Arnaud Guyon finished third.
All three are UAF Skiers.
The town series is now done for the year but will resume on January 5th.
