FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks Men's Basketball team split their two games in the 2017 Chuck Randall Thanksgiving classic at Western Washington University.
The Nooks dominated the Capilano Blues on Friday night to win 108-60 before falling to 80-56 to UC San Diego on Saturday night.
Two different Nanooks scored double-digit points on Saturday.
Michael Kluting led the team with 19 points while Joe Lendway continued his impressive weekend with 13 points.
Lendway also led the team in rebounds with 6.
Kluting and Lendway were both named to the Chuck Randall Classic's All-Tournament team when the tourney wrapped up.
Kimble Davis and Tre Eisenhut led the team in assists with both dishing out three.
The loss brings the Nooks to 2-4 overall so far this season, but they haven't played a single conference game yet this year.
They will begin their Great Northwest Athletic Conference play against the UAA Seawolves down in Anchorage tomorrow night.
They will return to the Patty Center when they host the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets on Saturday.
