FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Yesterday at North Pole High School, three players signed their National Letters of Intent to play football at the Next Level.
Andrew Gaines, Jacob Breazeale, and Jamie Johnson all signed.
Gaines will be going to Eastern New Mexico.
He suffered an injury at the beginning of last season and couldn't see the field until their playoff game against SoHi.
Despite this, he was able to impress ENMU and will play Running Back for the Division 2 Greyhounds.
Jacob Breazeale earned All-State honors at the left tackle position and was named the Southeast Conference's Lineman of the Year.
He'll be playing college ball for Azusa Pacific, who are members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
And Jamie Johnson, who was named an All-State Receiver and Defensive Back as well as the Offensive player of the year for the Conference, will be heading to Valley City State.
The Vikings are in Valley City North Dakota, and are members of the NAIA North Star Athletic Association.
Andrew Gaines; Running Back - Eastern New Mexico>>: "Eastern New Mexico has always had their eyes on me. They coached me up at the All-Alaska Camp and that's where I made contact with Coach Lee. And through research, I really like the program and what they presented to me."
Jacob Breazeale; Offensive Lineman - Azusa Pacific>>: "I'm nervous right now. Going into college, you just got to, like I said, grind and it's going to be a fun experience. Meeting all my teammates and yeah..."
Jamie Johnson; Wide Receiver - Valley City State>>: "Coach McCulloch has been texting me Non-Stop since All-Alaska, and he's been really welcoming. He's been calling me every weekend, telling me about how much he loves me and how much he wants me down there. It's really important, I think, to have your college coach want you, you know?"
