Starting order set for 2018 Iditarod

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Starting order for the 2018 Iditarod has officially been set, and a Fairbanks Musher will be kicking off this year's race.
Cody Strathe will be the first racer out of the Anchorage Starting line and will embark on the course to Nome.
Sweden's Mats Pettersson will go second, Wasilla's Anna Berington drew third, rookie from Michigan Shaynee Traska will leave fourth and Whitehorse's Magnus Kaltenborn will round out the first five.
Last year's winner, Mitch Seavey drew number 13 while Defending Yukon Quest Champion Allen Moore drew 26.
Former four time Iditarod Champion Martin Buser drew number 28 and former winner Jeff King drew bib number 40.
There are 67 mushers in this year's race, 17 of them will be competing in the race for the first time while 50 of them are veterans.
The last musher out of the Starting chute will be Hugh Neff, who is looking to recover from his withdrawal in this year's Yukon Quest.
The 2018 Iditarod will start in Anchorage on Saturday.
