Several Interior Swimmers place in Chugiak/Bartlett invitational

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Some of our interior swimmers competed down at the Bartlett/Chugiak Swimming and Diving Invitational over the weekend.
There were more than 400 swimmers competing at the event and the Interior was well represented.
For the Lathrop Malemutes, Alex Suleimani won the Boy's 200 yard freestyle and took second place in the 100 yard Breastroke, while Katy McCarther took second in the Girl's 100 yard freestyle.
Hutchison Representative Noah Palmer placed in two separate events.
He took first place in the boy's 100 yard Butterfly and second in the 200 yard individual medley.
Katelyn Weiss represented the North Pole Patriots and took third in the girl's 1 meter diving competition.
The West Valley Wolfpack saw the most swimmers place.
Anastasia Chen was the most successful, winning the Girl's 100 yard breastroke, she also took third in the 50 yard freestyle.
Taylor Keyes took second in the girl's 200 yard freestyle, and second place in the 500 yard freestyle.
Joey Slusser took third in the Boys 200 yard Individual Medley, while Creighton Beshears took third in the 500 yard freestyle.
The Wolfpack also got some relay wins.
They took second in the Girls 200 yard Medley, the Girls 200 yard freestyle, and the girl's 400 yard Freestyle.
They also got a third place finish in the Boy's 200 yard freestyle.
Our swimmers will be swimming at home this weekend with an all-schools meet at the Wescott Pool in North Pole on Saturday.
