Ruthy Hebard and the United States Under-19 Women's National Team were able to make it to the World Championship game on Sunday, but came up just short.
To get to the title game the national squad had to defeat France in a strong defensive game where they held France to 29% shooting from the field.
They then were able to move fairly easily past Japan 73-66 in the semifinal game to advance to the gold medal Contest.
Hebard had her performance of the tournament in the Semifinal game.
The All-Conference Star for the University of Oregon and West Valley High School graduate earned a Double-Double and led the team in scoring with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
Team USA fell to Russia in the very close Gold Medal Game 86-82.
Hebard was held to 4 points and 5 rebounds, while also earning a block and two steals for the Silver Medal Winning Under-19 Women's National Team.
Team USA finished with the second best record in the tournament with only one loss, second to only the undefeated Russian squad.
