Ross Matherly Buzzer-Beater leads Hutchison Over Delta

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The regular season for High School basketball wrapped up on Saturday night with a pair of conference Double-Headers.
The Aurora Conference Matchup saw the Hutchison Hawks sweep the Delta Huskies.
The Girls game saw Hutch win it 45-35.
The Hawks dominated the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Jacy Flynn led Hutch is scoring with 14 points while the Huskies were led by Andrea Solla and Shelby Killingsworth, who both scored 13.
The Boys game looked like a sure-win for Delta after the Huskies were leading in every quarter of play.
But the Hawks were able to earn their second lead of the game when Ross Matherly nailed a game-winning three pointer to secure the 61-60 win for the Hawks.
Matherly ended up leading the team in scoring after being held to only 5 points in the first half.
He scored eight of the final 11 for the Hawks to finish with 15 points.
The Huskies were led by 23 points from Jason Montes.
These two teams finished as the 4th and 5th seeds in the Aurora Conference and will meet in the first round of the Conference Championship Tournament on Thursday.
Ross Matherly; Guard - Hutchison Hawks>>: "It was supposed to be an Iso play for me to get off the shot. But, he kind of slagged off and then my teammate made a good pass to me. And then it was all just my shot. I came out the last two minutes of the half and I was a little cold. But my teammates helped me through that and I just... Yeah... Sorry I'm just excited right now."
