The Mid Alaska Conference Championships for our High School Tennis teams were held at the Dan Ramras community Tennis courts this weekend.

Just like they have been every game this season, the North Pole Patriots were victorious and will go to 9-0 so far this year.

As a team, the Patriots earned 36 points to take first place in the conference.

Lathrop, West Valley, and Monroe Catholic all earned 20 points to tie for second place, and Hutchison placed 5th with 10 points.

Roslyn Stapp won the girls singles final for the Patriots over West Valley's Grace Hawkins.

The Pats also earned wins from Ashley Rinker and Carly Donald in the Girls doubles over West Valley's Naomi Hartman and Kaitlyn Young.

Monroe's Jack Cook won the boys singles over North Pole's Josef Schruf while Zach Greenberg and Luke Millam won the Boys doubles title for the Lathrop Malemutes by defeating Monroe's Jake Footit and Pearson Clark.

West Valley won the Mixed Doubles title thanks to Brian Ely and Jordan Dick, who defeated Lathrop's Amara Hacket and Andrew West.

The first and second place finishers in each event were automatically qualified for the state tournament down in Anchorage on October 6th and 7th.
