Nanook Volleyball team drop second straight GNAC Contest

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Saints were able to defeat the Nanooks 3 sets to 1.
They won the first set 25-18.
The Nooks were able to rally and win the second set 25-21, but the Saints dominated the third set 25-13, and then finished off the Nooks with a 25-23 fourth set.
This is the second conference loss in a row for UAF.
The Nooks did see some solid performances from their players despite the loss.
Gabby Lerma, Maddie Davis, and Lahra Weber all posted 10 kills for the team high.
Davis and Weber also led the team with 2 aces.
Rachel Nichols and Cate Whiting led the team in assists, Nichols dishing out 23 and Whiting earning 20.
On the Defensive side of things, Jenna Hickel led the way with 15 digs while Riley Podowicz earned 3 blocks.
The loss drops the Nooks to 9-11 overall and 2-9 in the conference.
