Monroe Hockey skates to 5-5 tie with Palmer

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Monroe Catholic Rams and the Palmer Moose skated to a 5-5 tie last night in the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
Palmer had a 5-4 lead in the final period but Riley Ott was able to tie the game up at five.
The two teams were then at a stalemate for the remainder of the contest.
Ott finished the day with two goals while Evan Fritze chipped in two of his own.
Charles Robinson also added a goal for the Rams.
Caleb Sanborn finished the day with three assists while Riley Ott finished with two, and Landon Bartels added one.
The tie will now move the Rams up to 4-4-1 on the year.
They will begin their Conference Play tonight when they take on the Glennallen Panthers in Glennallen at 8pm.
The Palmer Moose will stay in town for a couple more days.
They will take on the North Pole Patriots tonight and the West Valley Wolfpack tomorrow.
