Monroe Catholic Sweeps North Pole in Regular Season Finale

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Monroe Catholic Rams hosted the North Pole Patriots in a Non-Conference Double-Header.
Monroe was able to defeat the Pats in both games to secure a sweep.
The Monroe Girls won the opening contest 29-17.
The Lady Rams were once again led by Grace Hodges, who earned herself 11 points.
Madie Leslie also broke the double-digit barrier with 10.
The Pats were led by Laura Donovan, who finished with 8 points.
The win brings the Monroe Girls up to 10-15 overall this year while the Patriots fall to 5-17.
The Monroe Boys were able to ride an absolutely dominant performance by Senior Guard Gavin Jackson on their way to a monstrous 51-36 victory.
Jackson led the Rams with 29 points.
He did his best Steph Curry impression and went a perfect nine for nine from three point range.
His Classmate Divon Davis chipped in 10 points to help the Rams secure their ninth consecutive victory.
They have now won 14 out of their last 15 games to improve to 20-4 overall this year.
The Patriots, who got the majority of their points thanks to the 18 scored by Senior Forward Craig Borba fall to 4-17 overall this year.
The Patriots have one more game against West Valley on Saturday while Monroe is done until they host the Aurora Conference Championship Tournament at Boileau Hall.

Good shots. And you can't really complain when you reverse the ball and find open people like that. My team trusted me and I followed through. It wasn't really about putting on a show, it was just going out there and doing what we love and playing hard every single possession. Us, as seniors, did it for our younger teammates. And we just want them to carry on next year."
