Lathrop sweeps North Pole in MAC Double-Header

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The North Pole Patriots hosted a Mid Alaska Conference Double-header against the Lathrop Malemutes.
The Mutes were able to earn a sweep with victories in both games.
In the girls game, Lathrop dominated for a 56-26 win.
Ella Roberts put on an amazing performance, finishing with an 18 point night, while Jordyn Johnson and Tyra Do both added 10.
The North Pole girls were led by Katelyn Bartley, who earned 8 points.
The Lathrop Girls are now 16-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The North Pole Girls fall to 5-16 overall and 0-5 in the MAC.
The Boys game started soon after and the result remained the same as Lathrop reigned supreme 45-30.
Derek Life and Andrew West led the balanced attack with 9 points each while the Pats were led by Kenny Peterson, Walker Stewart, and Tyler Hudson, who each dropped 7.
The Lathrop boys move up to 8-13 overall and 3-3 in the conference, while the Pats fall to 4-16 overall and 0-5 in the MAC.
The Three-Team Mid Alaska Conference will have their championship tournament at West Valley High School Next Weekend.
At this point, both the girls and boys standings are the same as West Valley is in First Place, Lathrop Holds second, and the Patriots are third.
Lathrop and North Pole will get their shots at the Wolfpack this week, Lathrop hosts West Valley on Friday night, while North Pole takes them on on Saturday.
