Interior Hockey teams in action all across the state

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Our interior High School Hockey teams were competing all around the state yesterday.
We'll start here in town where the Hutchison Tournament started up when Delta Junction took on Tri-Valley.
Delta won that tournament opener 6-3.
The Huskies were led by Thomas Warren, who finished the day with 4 goals. Jacob Anderson and Brian Jenkins both added a goal for Delta.
The Tri-Valley Viking Warriors got two goals from Owen McDonald, and one from his sister Fiona McDonald.
Delta goaltender William Hasz earned 15 saves while Tri-Valley's Caleb Graham stopped 25 of the shots fired at him.
The Tournament continued into the night when the Bartlett Golden Bears defeated the Hutchison Hawks 7-1.
The Bears were led by three goals from Andrew Vandenbos, two goals from Brad Mackin, and a goal from Marc Abrego.
Alec Easty scored the lone goal of the night for the Hawks.
The tournament will continue tonight when Delta takes on Bartlett and Tri-Valley faces Hutchison.
A few of our teams were also in action down south last night.
The West Valley Wolfpack were taken down by the South Anchorage Wolverines 5-1.
Jaren Beckley scored the lone goal for the Wolfpack in the second period.
Simon Atkinson earned 16 saves for West Valley.
The Lathrop Malemutes and Monroe Catholic Rams are competing in the Palmer Showdown which is set to take place through the weekend.
The Malemutes opened the tourney with a 4-1 loss to the Colony Knights.
Deondric Henderson scored the lone goal for the Malemutes.
The Monroe Catholic Rams also fell to the Wasilla Warriors 7-4.
The tournament will continue tonight and tomorrow night down in Palmer.
