Interior Football teams drop from high school polls

The ASBN Football Polls have been updated for our High School teams.
In the Division I Polls, the two undefeated Railbelt Conference squads are still at the top, however they have flipped spots.

The Chugiak Mustangs defeated the Kenai Kardinals 48-0 to improve to 6-0 so far this year.
The Colony Knights are also undefeated, but they dropped down to #2 after barely surviving a 10-7 thriller against the West Valley Wolfpack.
East Anchorage defeated the Bartlett Bears to move up to #3 while
Barlett dropped down to #4.
The West Anchorage Eagles are still sitting at #5.

There were a couple of big drops from the Top 5 in the combined Division 2 and 3 poll.

The one constant is the Soldotna Stars being at #1 as they won their 55th game in a row over the Kodiak Bears.
The Homer Mariners moved up to #2 after defeating The Nikiski Bulldogs and Thunder Mountain moved up to #3 after defeating the North Pole Patriots.
The two newest additions are the Barrow Whalers and the Houston Hawks.
Barrow cleared the way by shocking the Eielson Ravens on Saturday.
The Whalers are currently at the top of the Aurora Conference, while the Hawks and Ravens are tied for second.

Barrow and Houston do play this weekend which may decide the playoff hopes for all three of those teams.
If Houston wins, there will be a three way tie for first in the Aurora with each team having one conference loss, if Barrow wins, then they will be in sole possesion of first place, with Eielson in second.

This is the first week where we don't have a single Interior representative in either of the top five polls.
