Interior Football Teams prepare for Postseason

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The ASAA playoffs start this weekend and 3 of our interior squads will be competing for a shot at a state championship.
In the Division three playoffs, the Defending State Champion Eielson Ravens will be down in Homer for their semi-final contest tomorrow at 2pm.
The Ravens earned the #2 seed in the Aurora Conference with a 3-1 conference record.
Homer won the Peninsula Conference with a perfect 4-0 conference record.
These two squads will be playing down in Homer on Saturday.
Whoever wins will take on the winner between the Aurora Conference Champion Barrow Whalers and the Nikiski Bulldogs in the Division 3 State title game in Palmer next weekend.
In the Division 2 playoffs, the North Pole Patriots earned the #2 seed in the Southeast Conference and will be taking on the Undefeated Soldotna Stars in their Semi-final.
These two teams were in the exact same spot last year when the Patriots nearly pulled off a miracle, however the Stars escaped with a 25-21 win on their way to another state title.
This year the Patriots will look to finish the job and end SoHi's 57 game winning streak for a shot at the State Championship.
Whoever takes this game tomorrow at 4pm at Palmer High School will play the winner between Thunder Mountain and Palmer in the State Championship.
The Division 1 playoffs are slightly more complicated as there are four teams from each conference.
Our Lathrop Malemutes locked in the Number 3 seed in the Railbelt Conference and will play the #2 seed from the Cook Inlet Conference, the Bartlett Bears in the Quarterfinals.
The Winner of that game will take on Either the Service Cougars or the undefeated Chugiak Mustangs in the Next Round.
The Malemutes begin their postseason tomorrow at noon at Bartlett High School.
