FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Fairbanks Ice Dogs Forward Tanner Schachle has announced his commitment to play at the Division 1 Level.
The Wasilla native will be staying close to home as he has committed to play for the UAA Seawolves.
The 6 foot 3, 185 pounder has been playing for the Dogs for the past two years.
Last season he earned 17 points off of 11 goals and 6 assists.
He is already on pace to beat that number this season as he already has 12 points off of 4 goals and 8 assists.
Schachle's game has only gotten better since he played for the Wasilla Warriors between 2011 and 2013, where he combined for 26 points.
He then played for the Kenai River Brown Bears in 2014 before joining the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Now Schachle gets to stay in Alaska and fullfill his Lifelong dream of playing Division 1 Hockey. Congratulations on your commitment Tanner and we'll see you in next year's GovCup.
You can catch Tanner Schachle and the rest of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs this Friday and Saturday at the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
