The Goldpanners series opener with the San Diego Waves was rained out Monday night and the two will play a double-header Tuesday.
The first game of the double-header is scheduled for 5:00 pm with the night cap starting shortly after.
The Goldpanners have been hot. After they started their season with two losses on the road in Seattle against the Studs they have been rolling.
The 'Panners won their home opener over the Fairbanks All Stars and then they swept the Northwest Honkers in a seven game series which featured multiple come from behind wins from the Panners.
So far, they are undefeated at Growden Park in 2017.
Nick Ames has been pacing the offense through the first ten games.
The firstbaseman from University of Las Vegas is batting 414 to lead the team.
He is also tied for the team lead in RBI's with eleven.
JT Arruda is the only member of the 'Panners who has driven in eleven runs.
Alex Vesia has been brilliant on the mound so far this season.
He has thrown nine innings and struck out 14 while only allowing a single run.
Jimmy Endersby has been almost as good.
He has allowed only one run in eight and a third innings pitched while striking out 13.
Alaska will host the Waves for the 112th Midnight Sun game on Wednesday night, with the first pitch scheduled for 10 pm.
After the series with the Waves concludes on Saturday, the Goldpanners will hit the road for a while.
