Goldpanners prepare for Kamloops tournament

The Alaska Goldpanners were expected to play last night and today against the Okanagan Athletics down in Okanagan British Columbia.
However, those games have been cancelled.
The Goldpanners now have a bit of extra rest before they begin their play in the Kamloops International Baseball Tournament down in Kamloops British Columbia.

The Panners were fairly successful in the other tournament in British Columbia they competed in early this week in Grand Forks.
The Panners finished second in their first ever tournament appearance, falling in the championship game against the now 3 time defending champion Seattle Cheney Studs.
This is the 44th annual Kamloops Tournament and there will be 8 teams competing.
The 8 teams will be split up into 2 different groups for the Pool play round of the tournament.
The Goldpanners will be in Group B along with the Kamloops Sun Devils, the Northwest Honkers, and the St. Albert Tigers.
Pool A will consist of Seattle Cheney, the Okanagan athletics, the Highline Bears, and the Everett Merchants.
The Goldpanners will play the Hometown team Kamloops at 6pm on Thursday, the Northwest Honkers at noon on Friday, and will wrap up pool play against the St. Albert Tigers on Friday.
The Top two teams in each pool will advance to the Semifinals at 9 am and noon on Sunday. And the Championship Game is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday.
