FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Jack Weiss, a junior defenseman will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with testicular cancer in December.
Weiss will begin chemotherapy in Minnesota for the next nine weeks.
Weiss has been receiving support from teammates, alumni, and even the Nooks' WCHA rivals.
From Ferris State and Lake Superior State, to Tyler Morley and Tyler Cline, however one of the biggest guys in his corner is Justin Woods.
Woods went through cancer treatment in the middle of his college career as well.
So for us here at Channel 11, we send our thoughts and prayers to Jack Weiss.
