Faribanks Legion teams Played on their home field

We had some Legion Baseball action over the weekend here in the interior for the first time in weeks.
Both the Fairbanks Post teams were in action against the Wasilla Road Warriors.
On Friday the Road Warriors defeated the Post 11 49ers 15 to 3.
The Roadwarriors then took on the Post 30 Wild on Saturday in a double header.
Wasilla was able to sweep the wild and score 13 runs in both games, defeating the Wild 13-3 in the first game and 13-2 in the second.
The Post 11 49ers then had a chance at revenge against Wasilla on Sunday and took full advantage, earning a 5 to 4 victory.
The Division standings in Legion Play are decided by a points system that gives teams 4 points for a win, 2 for a tie, 1 for a loss and 0 for a forfeit.
The win on Sunday was enough to move the Niners ahead of the Palmer legion team in the division standings and take 6th place in the division with 24 points.
The Post 30 Wild are now 8th in the division with 18 points.
Our two legion teams will be in action this week when they take on each other at Arco Field on Wednesday.
