Fairbanks Ice Dogs earn 11th straight weekend sweep

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Ice Dogs had a wild and competitive weekend against the Lone Star Brahmas, but they were able to secure their 11th weekend sweep in a row.
On Friday night they survived for a 1-0 victory.
The two teams went through a 10 round shootout and Robert Blueger was finally able to find the back of the net for the game winner while Goaltender Josh Benson turned away their last shooter.
On Saturday the Dogs jumped out to a three goal lead and then held on to secure a 3-2 victory.
Daniel Haider, Noah Wilson, and Caleb Hite all lit the lamp on Saturday while Goaltender Logan Neaton earned 20 saves in his 60 minutes in goal.
The Ice Dogs have now won 23 games in a row and are 38-5-3-2 on the year.
They have the best record in the NAHL.
They will take on the team with the second best record in the league, the Shreveport Mudbugs, next weekend in a two game series.
