Fairbanks Eclipse youth soccer teams fall short at Alaska Cup Tournament

The Alaska State Cup for youth Soccer came to an end on Sunday over on the Turf Fields.

The Fairbanks Eclipse Youth Soccer Club came up just short in the finals of the 4-day event.

The Eclipse 05 boys team fell to the Anchorage Arsenal 3-2 in the Under-12 final.
Those two teams both went 3-0-1 in Pool Play.

The Eclipse 04 Girls Team ended their tourney tenure with a 5-0 loss to the Cook Inlet Soccer Club team in the Under-13 division final.

The Eclipse 02 boys team went into the final with a perfect record through pool play, however they were defeated by the Anchorage Arsenal 2-0 in the Under-15 division final.

In the other final games from the tournament, the Chugiak Soccer Club won the Boys Under-11 title over Cook Inlet.
The Valley Revolution Girls won the Under-12 title over Chugiak.
The Anchorage Arsenal boys won the Under-14 championship, the Cook Inlet girls won the Under-15, and the Alaska Rush won the Under-16 title.

All of the Division Champions have now qualified to represent Alaska in the Youth Soccer Far West Regional and President's Cup tournaments.
