Alaska Nanooks Basketball team puts up 108 points in victory over Capilano

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook Men's Basketball team began their play in Western Washington University's Chuck Randall Thanksgiving Classic.
The Nooks dominated their way to a 108-60 win over the Capilano Blues last night.
The Nooks were dominant for the entire game, outscoring the blues 58-32 in the first half and 50-28 in the second.
Joe Lendway led the game in scoring with 23 points.
He shot 10 of 11 from the field, including going a perfect two for two from behind the arc.
He also led the Nanooks in rebounds with 8.
Lendway may have been the only Nanook to break the 20 point barrier, but 5 other players were able to score double-digit points.
Alex Baham and Davis Kimble both finished with 14, Zach Hatch earned 13, Amenofis Mitchell earned 11, and Michael Kluting finished the day with 10 points.
Hometown Point Guard Jalon McCullough led the Nanooks in assists, finishing with seven.
Davis Kimble led the team in takeaways with 3 steals.
The Nanooks will continue their stay in the Thanksgiving classic when they take on UC San Diego today down in Belligham Washington.
Our Men's team will return home next Saturday December 2nd when they host the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference Contest.
Our Women's team got some time off for Thanksgiving but they will return to the Alaska Airlines Court at the UAF Patty Center on Thursday night when they host the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks.
