Flag Football: West Valley shuts out Hutchison 50-0

The West Valley Wolfpack Flag Football team improved to 5-1-1 on the year Monday night, when they defeated the Hutchison Hawks 50-0.

The MVP for the Wolfpack was unquestionably Quarterback Tessa Lindberg.
The Freshman Phenom accounted for five touchdowns, running in three and passing for two more.

Bridget O'neill and Tana Weckworth were on the receiving end of those touchdowns.
Weckwerth also had herself a day by earning receiving, rushing, and even a punt-return touchdown.

Zahriya Warren scored on the defensive side of things with a 10 yard Pick 6.

The Wolfpack will look to continue their winning ways when they face the Hawks again on Friday Night.

Tessa Lindberg, West Valley Quarterback:
"It was good, we came back from our tie against Lathrop and that was a really big game for us. Winning last time, then tying again, we needed a booster just to get back into our rhythm. We weren't pulling flags. Plays weren't coming together, we just had to let that develop more. I think it means a lot to the team. You always need a leader, and just being new to this team and new to this school it was an incredible honor. Letting my coaches take me into that leadership position and my teammates accepting me, it's phenomenal to have that recognition and opportunity with them and lead them through these games and big wins like this."
