Vehicle collision leaves 9-year-old hospitalized with serious injuries

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A 9-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries this morning after a vehicle collision in North Pole.
According to the Alaska State Troopers, officials were notified of a crash shortly before 9 A-M at the intersection of Plack and Badger Road.
On-scene investigation revealed a person driving a Subaru lost control while passing another vehicle and collided with a truck.
In the accident, the Subaru was hit on the passenger side, injuring the child.
The girl was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
No others reported injuries, and the investigation is ongoing.
