Yesterday, incoming students to UAF were given the opportunity to talk to multiple departments in one location for orientation day.
From 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., the Moore- Bartlett- Skarland lobby hosted 'Rev-It-Up" - a one-stop-shop to help ease the orientation process for new, incoming students.
Departments ranging from the UAF Bookstore to Parking Services were all available to answer questions or provide services.
There were even volunteers available to take the students' luggage up to their dorm room while the new students got their affairs in order.
Area Coordinator, Brittany Van Eck told us what help is still available if new students were unable to make it to Wednesday's Rev-It-Up event.
"For a residence hall we have offices staffed. Our policy is that until we reach 90 percent occupancy we have a physical person from 8am to 10pm around who can check residents into their room, but as far as the other offices, no, they will have to go down to Polar Express to get their parking, their card, and everything like that. But after today, if they need help, we still have a check-in table in MBS. If they need a cart or to help get moved in, or orientation schedules, so we are super well-staffed, and have...our goal is to have staff everywhere to get students what they need."
