Two local men pleaded not guilty in Fairbanks Superior Court

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Two local men were arraigned in Superior Court today on multiple charges.
Kyle Starr pleaded not guilty to robbery and assault. A report from Fairbanks Police says Starr attempted to steal groceries from Fred Meyers west. When a loss prevention officer ordered him to stop, he allegedly sprayed the person with bear spray and ran. Starr was arrested near Safeway west shortly after.
In an unrelated case, Ryan Pearson pleaded not guilty to his charges of criminal mischief and trespassing. Documents say Pearson broke into his neighbor's home and engaged in a standoff with officers. After a few hours, Pearson left the residence and was taken into custody. He admitted to breaking and entering, saying he went in to meet the love of his life, but it turned out to be a demon. Pearson also admitted to taking methamphetamines hours prior.
