Suspect Charged in South Fairbanks Murder

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Fairbanks Police have issued first degree murder charges for Greg Troy Beasley, and are asking for the public's help determining his whereabouts.

Officials warn Beasley could be armed and dangerous, and to call 911 if you see him.

27-year-old Beasley is wanted for the alleged killing of 47-year-old Guy Mitchell Yazzie at a residence on 17th Avenue Sunday night.

Police say Beasley stabbed Yazzie to death with a knife in the chest more than a dozen times and left him in a stairwell at the residence.

A no-bail warrant was issued today; court documents do not indicate that he has been taken into custody, and also suggest that he has no fixed address.

Again, Fairbanks police say they consider Beasley armed and dangerous, and are asking for the public's help in locating him.
They say residents should call 911 with confirmed sightings.
