Prisoner accused of fracturing FCC officer’s face

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A local man was in front of a judge today in Fairbanks Superior Court after being accused of beating a correctional officer so badly his eye swelled shut.
23-year-old Douglas Webb pleaded "not guilty' to two counts of felony assault.
The Fairbanks Correctional Center Officer said he confronted Webb inside FCC after Webb moved his mattress to the floor, refusing to sleep on the top bunk.
Surveillance video shows Webb attacking the officer, knocking him to the ground.
Webb allegedly punched the correctional officer 11 times, leaving his face cut, bruised and fractured.
Webb is currently behind bars awaiting a trial on an attempted murder case.
