FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The 5th Annual Pioneer Park Halloween Trick or Treat Town will take place this weekend.
The event begins at noon on Saturday and runs until 7 PM.
There will be vendors handing out candy, a chance to ride around the park on Engine number 1, activities in the Centennial Center, hay rides, and a hay bale maze.
Children will also have the opportunity to see some of their favorite characters, like Olaf from "Frozen".
All proceeds from the event will go to Access Alaska, and Pioneer Park.
Park Manager, Donnie Hayes, told us about how Halloween Town was created.
Donnie Hayes; Pioneer Park Manager>>: "Halloween Town is an opportunity for the kids to come in and do trick or treating, carnival games, they get to ride the train, of course Engine number 1 our steam train is going to be out in full force. It really was an opportunity about five years ago where a group of citizens came together and wanted to be able to do an event here at Pioneer Park, around Halloween and it has just grown from there."
