New University of Alaska tuition rates have been approved

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - On Thursday, the board announced that the main increase starts next fall, and is scheduled to last two academic years.
Also next fall, Kodiak College and Prince William Sound College will be getting a 10 percent tuition increase, followed by a 9.5 percent increase in academic year 20-20.
The board also approved a 25 percent tuition *discount for occupational certificates and endorsements.
U-A President, Jim Johnsen, says these increases are aimed at making campus tuition rates the same.
