Multiple gas station and liquor store break-in attempts leads to the arrest of two Fairbanks women

In the early morning hours on Monday, August 7th, Alaska State Troopers responded to intruder alarms at multiple Interior gas stations and liquor stores.

At around 2 am, there was an attempted break-in at the Badger Gas Station in North Pole.
This was followed by break-in attempts at Chena Hot Springs Gas station, Oaken Keg at College Road and University Avenue, and Justa Store on Chena Pump Road.
A male suspect in a dark truck was identified during the Chena Hot Springs Gas Station break-in attempt.

At approximately 5:05 am, a trooper on patrol identified the suspect truck near Gold Star Liquor on Van Horn.
The trooper attempted to stop the truck, and a vehicle chase ensued, with the suspect truck evading police.

A short time later, troopers found the suspect vehicle abandoned near Kennicott Avenue, just South of Airport Road.

With the help of a canine unit, troopers found two women hiding in a shed near Kennicott Ave.
The two women, 28-year-old Kia Ned and 21-year-old Tessa Peter, were arrested for trespassing.
The male suspect has yet to located.

No charges have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
