More Russian bombers intercepted near Alaska

In just a two day period, Russian bombers were twice reported flying near Alaska.

Monday, they were intercepted by U.S. fighter jets from Anchorage.

The bombers seen on Tuesday were Tu–95's — the same as the ones the day before — although it wasn't known if they were the same planes.

No interceptor jets were launched to meet the bombers Tuesday, but an AWAC radar plane was.

The Russian bombers did not enter U.S. air space.
