FAIRBANKS (AST) - Three missing Fairbanksans have been found.
On May 15th, Alaska State Troopers received a report that 28-year-old Johnathon Eyre, along with his two sons—7-year-old "LJ" and 4-year-old Jaxson—were missing. The trio was last seen at their home near mile 12 of Chena Hot Springs Road.
After AST went to the home and did not find Johnathan and his sons, a search got underway.
The three were eventually found upstream from the Nordale boat launch.
They have been taken to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital to be treated for what are believed to be exposure-related issues.
AST said they would like to thank all the search and rescue volunteers for their efforts in this event.
