Man gets one year for running over friend

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A 35-year-old man was sentenced to a year behind bars earlier this week for trying to run over his friend in a Taco Bell parking lot.
Daniel Draveling was originally charged with attempted murder, but struck a deal with the state and pleaded down to 3rd degree assault.
Fairbanks police say on April 29th the victim was leaving the restaurant when he saw his jeep's window had been damaged.
The victim says Draveling was sitting in his van and attempted to call him over.
The victim refused and told Draveling he would file a police report, at which point he says Draveling told him he would be dead, and drove over the parking meridian directly at him.
The victim was hit by the van's front end, and his foot was run over.
During testimony, the injured man told the court room he now experiences seizures, but could not confirm it was because of the assault.
