FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF)- The 17th Annual Career Expo and Job Fair is set to take place at Pioneer Park on Tuesday, March 21st.

The entire event lasts from 10 AM until 4:30 PM. The doors open to veterans first at 10 AM; then the general public will be allowed to enter at 11.

Potential employees will be able to explore exciting career paths, apprenticeships, and internships. They'll also be able to get one–on–one job interviews with employers.

Grace Allers, from the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, says all job opportunities are important to the community.

"The Fairbanks community really has a big need for a wide variety of jobs out there. There are so many people from so many different walks of life," said Allers. "We need to be able to provide a wide scope of who is hiring at this time.

"We put this on every single year because we want to make sure that the employers are able to connect with the employees and the employees are able to connect with the employers," she explained. "They need to bring their resume and they need to dress to impress so they need to make sure they're not in their PJs, they've taken a shower, washed up, ready to go meet employers."
